There are regular flights between the Azorean islands of Faial, Pico, Santa Maria, São Miguel and Terceira, and between continental Portugal and Madeira (from São Miguel island). Flights between the nine islands are provided by SATA Air Açores.
There are also flights between São Miguel island and a number of European countries, such as Austria, Germany, Denmark, Ireland, Spain, Holland, Finland, Norway, United Kingdom, Sweden and Switzerland, plus Canada and the United States in North America.
